What to expect at a full moon sauna in Barnard Castle

Meet at the lake jetty at TCR Hub. Arrive a few minutes early so you can change. Park at the Hub and follow the signs from the main car park down to the jetty. Expect our Light Up Sauna & Swim format: festoon lights, themed music, and a short brief before rounds in the wood-fired sauna. Hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows are included at the jetty.

Full Moon dates follow the lunar calendar and Light-Up evenings run on other nights, with the magic of the full moon on those dates. Pick from the dates above. The dips are optional, so you can stay in the heat if that suits you better. Our team supervises lake access from the jetty throughout. There are toilets, changing areas and a cold shower on site.

Directions and parking Common questions

Good to know

Cancel at least 72 hours before for a full refund. Inside 72 hours we can’t promise one, but we’ll try to move you to another session.
Guests are 16 or over. Anyone aged 16 or 17 comes with a responsible adult.
No alcohol or smoking in or around the sauna.
Not sure whether sauna heat or open water suits you, for example with pregnancy, a heart condition or blood pressure? Check with your GP first.
